Revitol Stretch Mark Prevention Cream Review
Revitol Stretch Mark Prevention Cream is specially formulated to increase the natural collagen production of the body and restore the elasticity of the skin. There’s no denying that increased collagen and elastin are crucial if you want to avoid stretch marks while you’re pregnant.
I’ve tested (and reviewed) dozens of creams with the same claim and some work great while others do nothing. The difference seems to be how carefully the ingredients are put together. We’ll go into detail about the Revitol cream in a bit.
Despite the product name, the company also claims that it helps to repair damaged skin and remove stretch marks that have already made themselves visible. It’s a weird claim from something specifically called a stretch mark prevention cream, but we will look into that, too.
What Do You Get?
Revitol is packaged in a 4 oz. plastic tube. On the order website, you can see if there are current specials to buy more.
Pros:
- quality ingredients
- natural ingredients
- plenty of glowing reviews
Cons:
- small tube – 4 oz.
- hard to find online
- mildly unpleasant smell
My Own Review
There’s no denying that Revitol Stretch Mark Prevention Cream has excellent customer reviews. If you very carefully look through them, you’ll see that the highest scores are because it does an amazing job PREVENTING stretch marks.
If you already have stretch marks, it’s probably not your savior! Look down below under Alternatives for some better options.
Revitol has made it really hard to buy online… unless you go direct to the company. And even if you’re OK with that, I think their return policy is terrible!
So coming up with a single review score is really tough. I’m giving it a 4.2 out of 5 stars – all of that because it has quality ingredients for expecting mothers (prevention).
If you start using this product early in pregnancy it will stop the formation of stretch marks which are very common for nearly every pregnant woman. That’s huge!
But you’ll see below how bad the return policy is, and I am VERY skeptical of using it to remove stretch marks. Therefore, I wrote a pretty lengthy Alternatives section.
Amazon Reviews/Testimonials
As we always recommend, you should read through various reviews posted by actual people that have actually used Revitol to get an idea of how well it works and what people think of it.
Here are some of the reviews I found for it from verified Amazon purchasers:
Other Online Reviews/Testimonials
There are quite a few rave reviews that state that Revitol’s cream works very well for fading away stretch marks. A lot of people have said that it easily and rather quickly removed marks from their stomach, breasts, and even thighs. Overall, most people seem to be satisfied with the results they got from using this cream.
There are, of course, a few bad assessments, too. These mainly state that the product has a strong odor (a few people said it smells like almond oil) that some found too overpowering.
A select few individuals said it didn’t work for them but based on the other reviewers we can somewhat hypothesize that these people may not have used the cream long enough to see the results they desired.
Return Policy
Return unopened product within 90 days for a refund. That’s it… pretty disappointing.
Where to Buy
It’s not terribly pricey but it’s only available online. In other words, you won’t find it in CVS, Walgreens, or other related retailers.
Revitol is even difficult to buy online! In fact, it’s almost always unavailable on Amazon!
When it does pop on there, it’s sold through 3rd party vendors who aren’t vetted by Amazon so… just be very careful.
Now here’s the biggest red flag (to me). Buying direct from Revitol does not get you any satisfaction guarantee!
You have 90 days to return UNOPENED product only. If you use it a few weeks and it fails to work, it’s just your loss.
Feel lucky? I hate gambling on this type of product, so I’ve listed a couple of really good stretch marks creams below that can be returned if you aren’t pleased.
More Details About the Product
How Do You Use It?
The cream is light, non-greasy, and makes the skin feel silky smooth. Application of this product is quite simple.
If you intend to use it as a prevention method you’ll want to begin using it early in your pregnancy. Simply massage the cream onto the areas you want protected at least twice daily.
If you’re using it to treat current stretch marks simply apply the cream to the affected areas in the same manner. Revitol claims improvement in 2-6 weeks so one tube is plenty to know if it’s helping.
