trilastin intensive stretch mark cream

TriLASTIN-SR Review

Stretch marks are harmless.  Still, most women will admit that having them makes you incredibly self-conscious.

Having a child DOES NOT have to mean the end of your bikini body – but you will need a high quality cream to either prevent stretch marks or get rid of them after they occur.

Luckily, there are several products that meet those high standards. My absolute favorite is TriLASTIN-SR Maximum Strength Stretch Mark Cream.Let me describe why I think it’s so special.

TriLASTIN-SR Maximum Strength Stretch Mark Cream has been around a while. I used it for roughly 6 months after my second pregnancy and I’m so glad I did.

My stretch marks were never terrible, but they stood out just enough that I knew I’d be self-conscious going to the pool or beach in a two-piece. TriLASTIN-SR solved it. I wound up using 2 tubes over that six-month period.

I noticed the first improvement about 5 weeks after starting. After six months of using twice a day, you could not see them anymore.

This is great news for moms because it’s tough to clear stretch marks with most creams. It’s far smarter to prevent them in the first place and you could use TriLASTIN for that too (but read my review of Basq stretch mark butter if you’re pregnant).

About TriLASTIN-SR

trilastin-sr intensive

TriLASTIN-SR is manufactured in the USA and has a full 90-day money back guarantee. TriLASTIN-SR is one of the most popular brands of stretch mark cream on the market today.

It’s been featured in numerous pregnancy magazines, major health websites, and on television.

Some publications, such as Pregnancy & Birth Magazine, have even designated TriLastin as the best stretch mark cream available in top 10 lists and other articles.

TriLastin has a special, paraben-free formula that is designed to help reduce the appearance of even the deepest stretch marks.

According to the official website, SR has been clinically proven to provide noticeable improvements in as few as 3 weeks. That’s fairly impressive considering most products state that results are typically seen only after nearly 2 months of regular use.

Areas that can be treated:

  • Stomach
  • Breasts
  • Thighs
  • Legs
  • Arms
  • Hips

I get to review a lot of skincare products, but my favorites are the ones with actual science behind them. Lots of creams point to collagen as the core of stretch mark removal, but none of the others have been smart enough to develop a time-release formula and get it patented.

TriLASTIN-SR calls it a Sequenced Diffusion Delivery System (SDDS®). It releases the key ingredients in a sequenced manner, so you stay hydrated far better.

It’s also stimulating collagen and elastin production a lot longer! It does this to accelerate the healing process. You could take “cheaper” creams a lot longer, but who wants to drag out the solution!

Big thumbs up for SDDS (and science!) here.

It also works by delivering hefty doses of antioxidants, peptides, and proteins into the skin. This combination provides great moisture, helps to smooth out the skin, and even fades away those awful purple-red discolorations that come with the scars.

What Do You Get?

It comes in a 5.5oz. tube of cream.

Pros:

  • Results in as little as 3 weeks
  • Sustained release technology
  • For all skin types and colors
  • Paraben-free, hypoallergenic
  • Unscented, Non-Greasy
  • Made in USA

Cons:

  • It’s not cheap

My Own Review

As you’ve all heard me say before, I could recommend a whole slew of stretch mark prevention creams, but very few do I endorse for stretch mark removal.

Reversing the damage of stretch marks is just not easy! But TriLASTIN-SR actually tops my list because the science behind it is solid.

As I wrote above, the SDDS delivery system they use is genius. Using time-release technology to deliver the ingredients means that your body is being pushed to regenerate extra collagen and elastin for hours! Collagen will fill in the gaps left behind in your epidermis when the damage was done.

Pretty soon you can’t see down through your upper layer of skin anymore, making that angry redness of stretch marks a thing of the past. Bear in mind, if your stretch marks are particularly bad, it might be a real battle!

Turning the marks clear might be all you can do, but it still looks far better. I think TriLASTIN-SR deserves 5 out of 5 stars – not because the cream is foolproof, but because you can have 90 days to fully evaluate it before the guarantee ends.

Amazon Reviews/Testimonials

It averages about 3 of 5 stars on Amazon. Like you can imagine, the reviews with detail are glowing and the very short ones are 1 and 2 stars.

Some beauty products attract negative reviews that sure do seem like they might be planted by competitors. But I love reading different opinions and encourage you too, as well. Here are a couple of reviews that stand out on Amazon.

Other Online TriLASTIN-SR Reviews/Testimonials

We all like case studies for products like this. Even though this one comes from the official site, I believe in it. Britney’s own story is so common for moms! And the results she’s had are certainly consistent with my own and the other testimonials that I’ve been able to dig up around the web.

This photo shows her progress over time. The 2-year picture is amazing, but I think even the 4-month change is a total victory. I’d definitely wear a two-piece suit if a cream got me to there in 4 months, and I’m betting a lot of you would too!

Where to Buy

More often than not, I find Amazon’s prices to be unbeatable. But TriLASTIN goes in and out of stock there and Amazon just can’t top the guarantee you get from buying directly!

Should it drop out of stock at Amazon’s discounted price, here’s a direct link to try it with the 90-day return policy: BUY DIRECTLY

Return Policy

90-day guarantee

If you buy directly from the maker of TriLASTIN-SR, they extend the money-back guarantee to 90 days. I’d take full advantage of this, at least with your first purchase. Once you know it’s right for you, try saving a  few percent at Amazon maybe.

More Details About the Product

How Do You Use It?

TriLASTIN-SR is a simple topical treatment. All you have to do is rub the cream on the affected area once or twice a day until the marks are gone. It’s easy as pie. You don’t even have to use a ton of it each application either. It spreads very well so you shouldn’t have any issues covering large areas like the stomach or legs with just a dab. I find it spreads best right after I towel off from the shower.

Safety Rundown

Is TriLASTIN-SR safe to use while pregnant? Yes! Is TriLASTIN-SR safe to use while nursing? Yes! This cream is hypoallergenic, so it would be a surprise if it caused any rashes or discomfort – even on very sensitive skin. I personally found that it took away all that itchiness I feel from my stretch marks. And I hope you do, too, because that drives me nuts!
